Jeanette Collins McAlister is the First Lady of the New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Sparks, Nevada. As the Pastor’s wife, she strives to be a woman who leads by example and shows her love for the Lord by having a heart of compassion for all those she comes in contact with. Her personal aspiration is to let the women of New Jerusalem and the women of the community know that each person is beautifully and wonderfully made by the Lord and that He has a special plan for their lives.

Lady McAlister has been involved in ministry all of her adult life and graciously serves alongside her husband of 31 years, Pastor Jerry D. McAlister, Senior Pastor of the New Jerusalem Baptist Church. She is also the mother of two wonderful children, who are also very active in ministry at New Jerusalem Baptist Church.

As being an active servant of the Lord is important to Lady McAlister, she has taken on a dynamic role in every aspect of ministry at New Jerusalem. She serves in various ministries at the church such as Ministry Leader for Daughters of the House (DOTH) a ministry designed for women of all ages, Ministry Leader for the New Jerusalem Praise Team, Administrative Staff Member, Church Greeter and Spiritual Counselor to the members and friends of New Jerusalem.

Her favorite scripture is Galatians 6:9 which says, “And let us not be weary in well doing; for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not”. This truly is representative of what Lady McAlister believes and she encourages all of those that she meets and talks with to always strive to do well and be faithful, as God will meet our needs at the appointed season.
